Spadone Servo Tread Skivers cut extruded treads to length that are used in the manufacture of tires. Spadone's skivers cover a range of technology, budget and operating systems, and offer reliable, accurate service and low maintenance..

M7 'Cut on the Fly' Tread Skiver

The M7 Cut on the Fly Servo Tread Skiver utilizes the latest servo technology to achieve outstanding accuracy. The cutter produces through a range of line speeds at tight cutting tolerances.

[Spadone Skiver] The M7 utilizes a multiple servo axes system to control the speed of the conveyor and downstream motion of the cross carriage. Encoders monitor and adjust the position of the cutter carriage to the speed of the conveyor.

Changing the length of knife carriage travel maximizes the production rate for varying extrusion widths. Operations are easily controlled through the operator input terminal or via download from line PLC. Performance is accurate, smooth and quiet.

Selected Features: Stock Width: 32", Angle Adjustment 15 to 30°, Knife Motor 5HP, 1,800 RPM, 20" Dia. Knife, Water Spray Knife Lubrication, Low Stretch Belt, Completely Guarded (not shown).
Services Required: Electrical is adaptable to local requirements; Air is 80 psi max, 1" NPT

SS-1 Stop/Start Skiver

The SS1 Stop/Start Servo Tread Skiver is an outgrowth of the servo technology developed for the Spadone M7 style tread skiver and has many of its features.

The SS1 uses a servo system to control conveyor speed, tread length and cut travel to maximize production rate. The system includes programming and connections for customer looping pit controls.

Cutting parameters are entered at operator terminal or via download from line PLC.

The cutting action is smooth, quiet and efficient.
